Recent events have made it apparent that there should be more focus and prioritization on sustainability. Immediately after the first lock down in 2020, the government accelerated various agri-programs which had participants from both public and private sectors, all aiming to promote awareness and support to local, or even backyard farming.
The trend, from which the hashtags #Plantito and #Plantita sprouted, has been well received by the Pinoys regardless of location or lifestyle. Backed up by market feedback and economic demand, the management designed Kaway’an Eco-farm’s master plan to address the essential need for a better normal.
Moving forward, homeowners, customers, and stakeholders can also expect the pilot launch of the Kaway’an Garden Club (KGC). This community would be home for eco-lovers, enthusiasts, and advocates of sustainable lifestyle in the vicinity and beyond.
Aside from being a social group, KGC members would also have access to raised garden plots in the Eco-farm, where they can grow their own plants and veggies. There are also plans to tie up with local farms and institutes to offer seminars and workshops, aligning to the goal of Kaway’an to be a center for learning.
With all the challenges brought about by the pandemic, we are committed more than ever to deliver facilities, activities and program that can foster environmentally conscious lifestyles to our customers.
